Struggling to get yourself moving post-lockdown and need a little motivation? Or perhaps you find it easy to rack up 30 miles in 30 days with the likes of the school run, dog walking and food shop but would benefit from a little purpose.

Whatever your situation, during the month of October we are encouraging you to take part in our 30 in 30 Challenge to raise vital funds for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice, which will enable us to continue offering our services, for free, to the families that really need it.

So long as you complete 30 miles in 30 days, it doesn’t matter how you stack them up. If you consider yourself a Rebecca Adlington or a Michael Phelps in the making, why not take to the local swimming pool or beach to front crawl your way to the top? Or if running is more your thing, maybe you’re feeling up to the challenge of beating Mo Farah’s recent ‘one-hour world record’.

From swimming and running to walking, jogging or cycling, the choice is yours. Just make sure you ask your friends and family to make a donation in return for all the blood, sweat and tears you’ve put into helping Zoe's Place Baby Hospice do what it does best.

Reached those magic 30 miles early? Well, why not pull a Captain Sir Tom Moore and keep going to see how much you can do and raise. Alternatively, there is an option to select your own target when you register if you think you can do more than 30 miles.

To steal a phrase from a well-known supermarket chain, every little helps… but to give you an idea, here’s how far your donations go:

- £30 an hour provides respite care for a child at Zoë's Place

- £45 provides one hour of music therapy for a child

- £100 would provide a day out for 4 children

- It costs up to £4,000 to open the hospice every day

You can take part on your own or make it a group affair by setting yourself up as a team with family or friends. Our activity leaderboard is sure to get your competitive juices flowing!

Please add your Strava account when registering and we'll keep track of your progress for you.

With physical events being cancelled its no exaggeration to say we need your help more than ever and, in taking part in this challenge, you will become one of our amazing home heroes.

Signing up is quick, free and easy to do. So, what are you waiting for? Register to do the 30 in 30 challenge for Zoe's Place Baby Hospice today and become a home hero now!
